The Keystone Pipeline

Mr. president, this is NOT the way to energy independence. He even ignored his own jobs council.

 This was his statement:

“This announcement is not a judgment on the merits of the pipeline, but the arbitrary nature of a deadline that prevented the State Department from gathering the information necessary to approve the project and protect the American people.  I’m disappointed that Republicans in Congress forced this decision.”

But, here is the thing: They have had over 1,200 days to make a decision, and have not. So, a project that would have generated meaningful jobs, is now a no-go, and people who would have had those jobs continue to subsist on meager government subsidies. Meanwhile, the studies were done on this thing and here were the results: It poses minimal risk…
